2017 Y2I Criteria

The Foundation warmly welcomes teens of interfaith families to Y2I. An average of 40% of teens who participate in Y2I are from interfaith families.


To qualify for 2017 Y2I, teen must:

  1. Be Jewish, consider himself/herself Jewish, and be raised exclusively in the Jewish faith. If you need further clarification, contact Deborah Coltin, Executive Director of the Lappin Foundation, at 978-740-4428 or dcoltin@lappinfoundation.org.

  Out of respect for traditional Jewish beliefs, Messianic Jews do not qualify for the Y2I program.

  1. Be a sophomore or junior in high school as of September 1, 2016.
  1. Permanently resident in or are members of a temple in the Foundation’s service area:   Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Georgetown, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynn, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Newburyport, Peabody, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield and Wenham
  1. Complete the program requirements of the 2017 Y2I program.
