2018 Y2I Criteria

To qualify for 2018 Y2I, teen must:

  1. Be Jewish, consider himself/herself Jewish, and be raised exclusively in the Jewish faith. The Foundation warmly welcomes teens of interfaith families to 2018 Y2I. More than 50 percent of 2017 Y2I teens were from interfaith families. If you need further clarification, contact Deborah Coltin, Executive Director of the Lappin Foundation, at 978-740-4428 or dcoltin@lappinfoundation.org.                                                                                                                              Out of respect for traditional Jewish beliefs, Messianic Jews do not qualify for the Y2I program.
  1. Be a sophomore or junior in high school as of September 1, 2017.
  1. Permanently reside in or be a member of a temple in Lappin Foundation’s service area:   Beverly, Boxford, Danvers, Essex, Georgetown, Gloucester, Hamilton, Ipswich, Lynn, Lynnfield, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Marblehead, Middleton, Nahant, Newburyport, Peabody, Rockport, Rowley, Salem, Saugus, Swampscott, Topsfield and Wenham
  1. Complete the program requirements of the 2018 Y2I program.

OUT-OF-AREA TEENS 

Teens who do not qualify for 2018 Y2I are welcome to pay to participate in 2018 Y2I.  For more information, please contact Deborah Coltin at 978-740-4428 or dcoltin@lappinfoundation.org for more information.
